Pharmaceutical advertising
Advertising for pharma brands: from strategy to the finished spot
Pharma has been VTMN agency's core category for more than 15 years. We understand it at the level of strategic marketing, not just visuals: we know what drug advertising can and can't say, and how to make a spot that clears approval and doesn't get lost among look-alikes.
We shoot live-action, generate with AI or combine the two. The format depends on the task, timing and budget.

What we do for pharma brands
Strategy
We size up the category, competitors' messaging, sales and media activity, put forward hypotheses and validate them with you. We run research or analyze the data you already have.
Creative
Concepts that fit the strategy, animatics for focus groups, ways to develop the idea for digital. Drug advertising restrictions go into the script from the first draft instead of being patched at approval.
Production
TV and digital spots: live-action shoots with a director, AI production or a hybrid. 3D visualization of how the drug works, packshots, product-in-hand scenes.
Adaptations
Cut-downs for TV and digital, social formats, versions for every product in the line — all within one campaign.
What we know about pharma
Pharma creative wears out fast
Urolesan communicated well for years, but every new campaign has to find new words for the same ideas. Instead of scaring people with symptoms, we showed a holiday that cystitis could ruin.
A product line is one platform, not four spots
For Atoxil we brought Classic, Kids, Heartburn and PreBio into one campaign, “Life happens”: different situations and audiences, one kind of readiness.
How the drug works has to be clear to everyone
Without promising too much. That's where 3D visualization and metaphor come in — like the heartburn dragon in our Atoxil gel spot.
Drug advertising rules are part of the script
The self-medication warning, correct wording, what can and can't be shown. We write so that approval goes through without extra rounds.

Questions and answers
Can you make drug advertising with AI?
Yes. We've made AI spots for Atoxil, Kapsiol, Citramon Darnitsa, Kolikid and Simidona Forte. The rules for drug advertising are the same as for a live-action shoot, and we build them into the script.
Who makes sure the ad complies with drug advertising rules?
We write the script around the restrictions and the mandatory self-medication warning. Final approval stays with the client's medical and regulatory departments; we prepare the materials so it goes through without extra rounds.
Do you only do production, or strategy too?
Both. We can start with a category audit and strategy, or shoot a spot based on your creative. Pharma has been our core category for more than 15 years, so we know its strategy firsthand.
How long does a pharma spot take?
A quick AI spot takes up to 15 days from the brief. A big live-action production depends on the script, casting and the number of approval rounds; we give you timing after the brief.
How much does it cost?
A quick AI spot is $2,000 turnkey, a flagship spot is $10,000, and a subscription starts at $5,000 a month. Live-action shoots are quoted per script.
Which pharma companies have you worked with?
Among them are Farmak, Darnitsa, Sopharma, Arterium, Kusum, Fitofarm, Orisil-Pharm, Vishpha, Borshchahivskyi CPP, Vitaminy JSC, Amaxa, Mili Healthcare and SPERCO. Cases with the videos are on this page and in Projects.
