Farmadol: bringing the color back to life

Versions — 4

The challenge

Broaden the audience of a headache pill

The first Farmadol spot aired on national channels in 2013, and the drug was mostly used by older people. Our next task was to bring in a younger audience, and with a separate spot to speak convincingly to people over 45.

The result

Three parallel stories, and a spot where the picture comes alive after the pill

In the first spot a headache strikes in the middle of the working day. In the younger version three heroines — a student, a young mum and a woman on a date — get headaches for different reasons, and there's one solution. In the 45+ version we conveyed severe pain through color and sound: a washed-out picture and an irritating whistle, and after Farmadol the frame becomes vivid and full of life.
